Millions of young boys like you already have joined. Why not sign up with us today!
Cub Scouting means "doing." Everything in Cub Scouting is designed to have the boys doing things. Fun activities are used to achieve the aims of Scouting - citizenship training, character development, and personal fitness. Many of the activities happen right in the den and pack. Some of Pack 180s annual activities and the Pack level are instructional and some are just plain fun. Browse through our web site to see more of what we do. Start with the Activities and Den links. These links will include pictures and info from: |

Cub Scouting has program components for boys in the first through fifth grades (or ages 7, 8, 9, or 10). Members join a Cub Scout pack and are assigned to a den, usually a neighborhood group of six to eight boys. First-grade boys (Tiger Cubs) meet twice a month, while Wolf Cub Scouts (second graders), Bear Cub Scouts (third graders), and Webelos Scouts (fourth and fifth graders) meet weekly or bi-weekly. Den meetings are held at a mutually agreeable time for all families in the den. Once a month, all of the dens and family members gather for a pack meeting under the direction of a Cubmaster and pack committee. The committee includes parents of boys in the pack.
Pack 180
Contact us and we'll answer any questions you have about Scouting or Pack 180. We can even get you an application form to sign you up. Email us at n2mfc@arrl.net. Registration fee is $35 covers and new members until December 2002. Bring your checkbook to the sign-ups.
The $35 registration fee covers the basics: membership fee for the Boy Scouts of America, insurance, Cubscout manual, and badges. You will need to buy a uniform and some patches. We also hold a fundraiser early in the year which enables us to pay for activities like the camping trips, annual picnic, naturalist talks, refreshments and entertainment at Pack Meetings, etc. The fundraiser usually consists of selling one $40 box of candy with the option to "buy out" of selling candy by making a $25 donation. There are incentives in the form of prizes for boys who can sell more than one box of candy.
Pack 180 is a non-sectarian organization. South Presbyterian Church holds our BSA charter and is our sponsor.
