Ceremonies - Pack 180 rank advancement ceremonies
Here are a couple of tools (Microsoft Access 2000 databases) that our Pack uses to keep track of members and awards. Feel free to modify them as you see fit.
Pack 180 Member Database - This Access 2000 database is what we use to maintain our roster. It keeps track of dues, ranks, names and addresses (of course), as well as other information we are interested in tracking. Reports are provided to help run events, pinewood derby weigh-ins, making nametags, making tags for pinewood derby cars, charter rosters, den rosters, rank rosters, and much more.
Pack 180 Awards Database - This Access 2000 database keeps track of awards that boys have earned and when the earned them. This is not intended to track progress toward rank but rather to track for the Cubmaster or awards chairperson the awards that need to be ordered, whether or not the awards are in hand, and if the award has been given to the boy. It can also be used to track anything else you need to give out to the boys, books, patches, etc. Reports are provided that tell you how many of each award to order, who is due awards, and an award presentation report for Pack meetings.
We have created a number of ceremonies for our use that we'd like to share here. Some were written by members of our Pack, others are from roundtables or pow wows or web sites, some are combinations of all of the above. Enjoy, share, steal with pride (we'll take it as a complement), modify as you see fit!
Arrow of Light Candleholder Plans - Here are our plans for our Arrow of Light Candleholder that our 2nd year Webelos graduating in 2002 made as one of the projects for their Craftsman pin. The candleholder was used at their Arrow of Light Ceremony at Pack 180's 2002 Blue and Gold.
