Pack 180's November Pack Meeting was a night hike and campfire held at the Tenafly Nature Center in Tenafly NJ. The night was cold as you can see from the pictures below but everyone had a good time and an opportunity to warm up next to the campfire with a cup of hot cocoa. |
On the night hike we learned about our "night vision" and how nocturnal animals live. We also did a Wintergreen Lifesaver experiment once our eyes were acustom to the dark.
We got to roast marshmallows at the campfire...
...and drink hot cocoa.
Around the campfire we were warmed up and entertained with a few Native American stories.
